How to Make it Look a lot Like Christmas

Can you believe it? We are only a few days away from December, inarguably the merriest time of the year! With Christmas less than month away, we have to start bringing the Christmas spirit into town, whether that’s already started with Christmas markets and carols and lights and cheers. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin when there’s so much to do, yet the easiest thing to do right now is to start planning and, well, budgeting.

Probably the most exciting thing about Christmas would be the presents. Shopping can become very stressful if you don’t know what to get and the stores are filled with people just like you. That’s why it is important to plan ahead. Make a list of exactly what you need to buy and where from, and maybe even get a head start and buy the presents and then hide them underneath your bed.

Get out your lights, ornaments, wreaths, wrapping paper, stockings, and lawn ornaments and make sure you have all the decorations you need. If not, then go buy them now before everyone else sells them out for you.

Holiday Cards

Get a head start on addressing Christmas cards. Depending on how long your list is, this might take a while and it’s great to get it off your chest in time. A holiday card and very well also play the role of a present to people you are not as close with, and this is because it shows that you thought of them during the holidays. It’s the act that matters.giphy (2).gif

Party and Celebrate

Plan a themed Christmas party to bring some more Christmas spirit. This idea will require budgeting.giphy (3).gif

It doesn’t matter what type of tree you prefer having (real or giphy (4).gifartificial; white or green), yet make sure it’s ready to be taken out of the attic at any second, or go and buy your new, living tree. In a week or two you’ll be able to set it all up! How exciting is that?

Prepare a Christmas movie list to watch on a cold night with your family and friends. If you wait long enough, The Kookoo Talk might just prepare the ultimate list for you!

Dining Menus

If you are going to be serving a holiday meal, make sure you know what you’ll be cooking and who will be your guests. Prepare your grocery list and put on an apron.

Background Music Playlist

There is no better way to actually feel the Christmas spirit than to have it spread to you by the classic hits of the season. Put these in the background of your meals and it will be the best feeling you’ll have this year!
